Alecko Eskandarian: From Mls Star To Entrepreneur

Alecko Eskandarian, born on July 9, 1982, is a retired Armenian American soccer player. He’s the son of Andranik Eskandrian, a former player for the Iranian national team. Andranik Eskandarian played professionally in Iran before moving to the United States, where Alecko was born.

Growing up, Alecko developed a passion for soccer, following in his father’s footsteps. He played youth soccer in California before attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While at UCLA, he became a standout player, helping the Bruins win the 2002 NCAA Men’s Division I Soccer Championship. His impressive performance earned him the Hermann Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding player in NCAA Division I men’s soccer. This achievement solidified his reputation as a rising star in American soccer.

After college, Eskandarian entered the professional soccer scene. He was drafted by the New England Revolution in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft, marking the beginning of his professional career. Eskandarian quickly established himself as a skilled striker, known for his powerful shots and his ability to create scoring opportunities. He also became a fan favorite for his dedication and commitment to the game.
